ecological house in herzeliya

an unusual design resulting from a combination of ecological requirements with strict limitations of a two-family lot, particularly long and narrow. the house consists of a series of segments breaking out of the borders in order to receive light and air from the south and north. the eastern and long side receives a minimum opening, due to the considerations of the angle of the sun and the thermal effect, and the largest openings are directed to the north.

the house is built of light and insulated materials in industrialized construction. the walls, covered in a vacuum factory, arrive at the site ready and assembled in the field, by  easy yogev Industries, "asgard". in each of the segments, a solatube is installed in the ceiling, which brings in concentrated sunlight. economical LED lighting is widely used, and rainwater storage systems, dewwater storage, water recycling, solar systems, systems for introducing western air through the roof, and a compost facility are also planned.
